Garlic Bread recipe with a secret ingredient!

What makes a great garlic bread? I would say it’s the crispy crunch of the toasted bread combined with the greasy (but not too greasy) taste of melted butter and garlic. But there is one more ingredient in MY garlic bread that you may be surprised with….Mayonnaise!!!!

Here’s Garlic Bread Niki’s way!

You will need the following ingredients :

1 loaf french bread

1/2 cup butter (softened)

1 tbs garlic powder

1 tbs dried parsley
1/4 cup mayonnaise
Start by slicing a crusty french loaf in half.

Ok, yes you caught me! I ate the ends off the bread! I couldn’t help myself, it was still warm!

Next, combine all ingredients until smooth. (make sure your butter is soft and smooth before you incorporate it into the other ingredients)

Spread the mixture across the bread. Use it all!

Now put the two halves together and wrap them in aluminum foil. Bake in a pre heated 350 degree oven for 20 min.
After baking covered for 20 minutes, turn your oven to broil and open the foil.
(Careful! The bread will be hot!) Broil for about 5 minutes or so, but keep a careful watch! oven temperatures vary.

The result is a crunchy, buttery, smooth and tasty garlic bread your family will enjoy!
